The Blackmagic Design Video Assist HDM/6G-SDI Recorder and Monitor is a video player and recorder that give professional monitoring and recording to any camera with 1920 x 1080 resolution. On the display, this device has an LCD touchscreen with 135 degrees viewing angle. The 5” full resolution HD monitor ensures perfect focus and framing and the professional ProRes and DNxHD recorder uses high-speed SD cards and saves files compatible with modern NLE software. The touchscreen allows settings, histogram, audio meters, timecode display and much more. Slots for dual LP-E6 batteries.

Furthermore, for the video connection, this Video Assist has SDI I/O, and HDMI I/O. As for the Audio, there are SDI I/O, and HDMI I/O. The audio output has the 3.5mm stereo analog audio output jack. On the USB interface, there is the USB 2.0 of Mini-B connector. When recording, this device can process the 10-bit 4:2:2 video, up to 1080p60 to high-speed U1 SDHC/XC memory cards with the diverse supported codecs such as Apple ProRes 422 HQ, ProRes 422, ProRes LT, ProRes Proxy, and Avid DNxHD.

As for the power requirement of the Video Assist, there is the 12 VDC to power the dual Rechargeable LP-E6 lithium-ion batteries. An AC Adapter 110 to 240 VAC is included.
